Bipolar Disorder

In Bipolar Disorder, the individual’s mood suddenly elevates from being depressed, even though there is no reason or environmental change for such elevation. In such a period of elated happiness, the individual feels extremely happy, hyperactive, energetic and maybe slightly irritated. But at times of depression, the individual has damaging negative thoughts about life, excessive crying and faces an extreme feeling of hopelessness and loneliness.

Major depressive disorder or other psychiatric disorders that can involve changes in mood, thinking, and behaviors. Their symptoms may be the same as adults but might be confused for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or even just bad behaviors.

Diagnosing bipolar disorder can be trickier for children and teenagers.
